Fall 2026
- Cody A. Norling, assistant professor of Musicology, has been named the Newberry Library’s 2026–27 Collester Fund for Chicago Music Fellow in support of his current book project on the city’s civic operatic cultures of the interwar years.
- Fashion Design and Merchandising students Gabryel Phillips, James Turner, Ella Renshaw and Aaron Monroe had designs accepted for exbition at the 2026 International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) Conference. Designs by Colleen Moretz, FDM associate professor, and Angela Uriyo, FDM assistant professor, were also accepted.
Spring 2026
- Daney Brookover, a Theatre Design and Technology major, won the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Bernhard R. Works Master Crafts Award.
- Alison Smallwood, a Sports and Adventure Media major in the WVU Reed School of Media and Communications, was recognized with a digital media award at the 51st Gracie Awards for her “Mountaineer Playbook” segment “3-in-30.”
- Twenty-one CCAM students performed and presented at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Richmond, Virginia in April 2026.
- Angela Uriyo, assistant professor of Fashion Design and Merchandising, was recognized for her mentorship of undergraduate research in the arts and humanities with NCUR's national award.

Fourteen WVU Reed School of Media and Communications students received awards for their work on over a dozen projects at the 2026 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts.
