Sarah Perlman

Marketing Strategist and Fractional Marketing Leader
Teaches Internal Brand Communication

Sarah Perlman is a marketing strategist and fractional marketing leader who works with professional associations and nonprofits. Since founding Silverbrook Marketing in 2020, she has served as an outsourced marketing director and strategic advisor, helping mission-driven organizations sharpen their brands, strengthen communications, and build marketing programs that hold up over time. Drawing on 25 years of marketing education and experience, she pairs senior-level strategy with a willingness to roll up her sleeves on execution.

Before launching her own firm, Perlman spent almost eleven of those years at the Federal Bar Association, rising from communications coordinator to director of marketing and communications and serving as managing editor of its flagship magazine, The Federal Lawyer. Today the FBA is one of Silverbrook’s major clients, where that institutional knowledge continues to inform her strategic work.

Perlman earned her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications, with honors, from West Virginia University, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communications from Clemson University. She has also completed professional certificates in marketing strategy and digital marketing from Cornell University and Georgetown University, respectively. She's a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Sarah lives in Manassas, Virginia, with her husband, their two children, two cats, and a dog. Outside of work, she reads a lot (with a soft spot for romantasy), loves to travel the world, and adds to her tattoo collection.
