Tom Berich

Tom Berich is the director of the Advanced Steelband for the Percussion Department at WVU. He has led and directed steelbands in Indiana, Ohio, Montana, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia and more.

He has toured nationally and internationally as a steelpan artist and percussionist. Through is education at WVU with Ellie Mannette (The Father of the modern Steelpan) and the other fantastic WVU music faculty, he has been able to perform in multiple Trinidad Panorama festivals with Silver Stars, Starlift, and Sforzata. He has also played in  Antigua Panorama with Hell's Gate and has performed with the Philly Pan Stars in Brooklyn Panorama. 

In addition, he has performed as a percussionist for Azaguno, Jeff Pevar, Robbie Dupree, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and many more.

As an arts administator he has worked for Nickelodeon, Buffalo Toronto Public Media, The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, The Pittsburgh CLO and he is currently the Operations Manager for Chatham Baroque.
