GramLee Collection

School of Art and Design

The GramLee Collection at West Virginia University is housed in the College of Creative Arts and Media and consists of over 4,000 commercial wood engravings and metal printing plates from the late 19th and early 20th century. These materials were once used by a grain flour and animal feed sack manufacturer and printer in Wellsburg, West Virginia.

The printing blocks and related materials serve as a hands-on resource available for visits, exhibitions, research, letterpress printing demonstrations, and lectures. For more information, contact Professor Joe Galbreath at joseph.galbreath@mail.wvu.edu.
