Laura and Paul Mesaros Galleries

The Laura and Paul Mesaros Galleries are located in the Douglas O. Blaney Lobby of the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center.

History

The Mesaros Galleries are located in the lobby of the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center and named in honor of Drs. Laura and Paul Mesaros who were avid art collectors and donated much of their collection to the Art Museum of WVU. The Galleries are managed by the School of Art and Design and serve to educate students, faculty, and staff across the university as well as the larger Morgantown community. Exhibitions in all media focus on innovative, experimental work that advances scholarship and discourse in the field. Regional, national, and international contemporary artists and designers featured in the exhibits are invited to campus to work with students and give public lectures that are free and open to all.
