Behind the Scenes

Step inside the world of fashion at WVU. Behind the Scenes is a campus visit experience designed for future Mountaineers who want to explore fashion through hands-on activities, connect with current students, and get an insider’s look at the creativity and excitement of the WVU Fashion Design and Merchandising program. The experience ends with special guest access to the 2026 WVU Fashion Show,  An Evolving Narrative .

During this interactive experience, guests will explore areas of the fashion industry while learning more about student life, creative opportunities, and the academic experience within the major. Current WVU Fashion Design and Merchandising students will share their experiences, answer questions, and offer insight into what it is like to study fashion at WVU.

The day concludes with guests attending the 2026 WVU Fashion Show, An Evolving Narrative, as our special guest. This is a unique opportunity to go beyond the classroom and experience the creativity, energy, and innovation that define fashion at WVU.

Registration Information

Behind the Scenes is designed for high school students and their families or support systems. High school teachers, homeschool groups and other youth organizations are also welcome to bring students as a group. 

Groups and schools are permitted 8 students per 1 chaperone, with a maximum of 16 students per group. Multiple groups from the same school or organization may attend; however, each group must have its own designated chaperone.
