
Isaac Price
Isaac Price is a passionate music educator who is pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education at West Virginia University (WVU) and is expected to graduate in May 2026. With a Bachelor of Music in Music Education obtained from WVU in May 2022, Isaac has developed a strong foundation in performance and teaching, underscored by a commitment to fostering musical growth in students of all ages.
Hailing from Paden City, West Virginia, Isaac attended Paden City High School, where his journey in music began. Graduating in 2018, he received several accolades, including the WVMEA Future Music Educator Award and the Rachael Worby Music Scholarship. These honors recognized Isaac’s dedication to music and set the stage for a thriving career in education.
During his undergraduate years, Isaac was heavily involved in the WVU Marching Band, where he ascended from rank leader to head section leader. This experience was complemented by participation in various ensembles, including the WVU Symphonic Band, Horn Ensemble, and Wind Symphony, where he served as principal horn. His leadership in these roles was recognized when he graduated summa cum laude and was selected as a Presidential Student Ambassador, reflecting his commitment to both academic and extracurricular excellence.
Beyond performance, Isaac is dedicated to community service and engagement. He volunteered as a proctor for All-State Band and Orchestra auditions, served as a student ambassador for audition days, and contributed to multiple community service initiatives through AmeriCorps, such as organizing hygiene drives and delivering food to local schools. These experiences have deepened his understanding of the importance of accessibility to music education and its impact on community well-being.
Professionally, Isaac has gained extensive teaching experience through various roles. He served as a mentor at Energy Express and took on teaching positions at H.H. Poole Middle School, West Milford Elementary School, and Lost Creek Elementary School. Most recently, he was appointed as the assistant band director at Robert C. Byrd High School and the band director at Washington Irving Middle School.
Isaac is currently a graduate teaching assistant at WVU’s School of Music, where he supports undergraduate students while further honing his pedagogical skills. With a deep commitment to music education, Isaac aims to empower the next generation of musicians and ensure that the joy of music continues to resonate in their communities. Through dedication, leadership, and service, Isaac Price exemplifies the spirit of a music educator poised to make a lasting impact.
