The WVU High School Choral Festival invites high school students to experience a day of inspiring choral music-making alongside WVU choral and voice faculty and members of WVU’s collegiate choirs.
The 2026 festival is designed to provide students with a rewarding and engaging choral experience while minimizing the preparation required of participating teachers. Students will receive their festival repertoire when they arrive and spend the day learning and rehearsing the music with WVU faculty and singers. There is no expectation on the teachers or students to prepare the music ahead of time. The festival will culminate in a concert featuring the participating high school students alongside performances by WVU’s collegiate choral ensembles.

The WVU High School Choral Festival is designed to be a positive and inspiring experience for both students and teachers. Students will explore new musical approaches, build confidence, make new friends, and return to their classrooms refreshed and inspired by a shared day of music-making.
