Heather Jennings

Founder and Principal Designer | Blackwell & Jennings

Heather Jennings is the founder and principal designer of Blackwell & Jennings, a Raleigh-based interior design firm specializing in health and wellness spaces. With a background in Fashion Design from West Virginia University and post-graduate work at Parsons School of Design, Heather spent 15 years as a fashion designer before pivoting to commercial interior design 8 years ago when she started her firm. As a cancer survivor, she understands the importance of creating environments that promote healing and well-being. Her empathetic design approach integrates evidence-based principles, biophilic elements, and neuro-aesthetics to craft calming, functional spaces for healthcare clients, including women’s health centers and wellness studios.

Heather lives in Raleigh with her two teenage daughters. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, painting, and traveling. She is currently preparing for an upcoming trip to India to study astrology and authentic movement. Now more than ever, she values the importance of work-life balance and believes that travel and creative exploration make her a better designer, continuously inspiring her to explore new ideas.
