The College of Creative Arts and Media Visiting Committee provides guidance, insight and service to the Dean and College leadership team to support recruitment, fundraising, the student experience, and connections to alumni and industry professionals to maintain the highest standards of education and advocacy in the arts and media.
Committee Purpose and Objectives
The Committee members will focus on the following objectives:
- Provide advice and counsel on curriculum and other programs to help ensure the College's academics and student activities are relevant to the evolving arts and media industries and reflect the best of professional practices and standards.
- Help students achieve professional success through mentorship and by providing links to internships, employment and networking opportunities.
- Assist in bringing industry professionals and other experts to the College as speakers and visiting faculty.
- Help develop funding and partnerships and assist and advise the Dean in soliciting private and public financial support for the College.
- Promote the College and foster an awareness of programs and opportunities available in Art and Design, Media and Communications, Music, Theater and Dance, and the Art Museum of WVU.
- Serve as a proactive communication resource for future students, alumni and friends.
