Meredith Delaney

President and CEO | Scripps Howard Fund

Meredith Delaney is the president and CEO of the Scripps Howard Fund and previously served as director of philanthropic strategies, overseeing programs and projects related to the Fund’s community giving initiatives, including the “If You Give a Child a Book…” campaign. Prior to that role, she held the title of director of development. She has been with the Fund since 2017. 

Prior to joining the Fund, Delaney spent a decade in fundraising and in nonprofit industries.  

She received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Cincinnati. She also earned a certificate in nonprofit executive leadership from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.   

Delaney said working for the Scripps Howard Fund combines several of her passions: providing resources for students in need, journalism and her love of books.
