Kelly Sanders

After graduating from WVU, Kelly hopped on a one-way Greyhound bus to NYC in the mid-90’s and thrived there for over 20 years. She adored her long career designing clothing for corporate fashion brands like American Eagle Outfitters, Old Navy, Wal-Mart, J Crew, and Victoria’s Secret. During her corporate career, Kelly learned from the best in the industry, while honing her eye for design. A passion for treasure and trend hunting around the globe informs her designs. Finding inspiration from everything including 70’s graphic tees, spools of beautiful threads, vintage tins, layers of peeling paint, gallery exhibits, and 60’s fabric remnants inform her designs concepts. The second half of her journey began 10 years ago, with a boomerang return to Pittsburgh in 2015. A calling to be closer to family brought her back to her hometown. Applying what Kelly learned in her corporate life in a small, meaningful boutique way is the next step in her adventures. A serendipitous introduction to Monica forged a new path in Kelly’s career. A spark of an idea, finding a shop with all local artists, informed the creation of love, Pittsburgh nearly 9 years ago. Through a bit of magic, Kelly has woven her love for design with Monica’s passion for wellness and business expertise into their one-of-a-kind vision of love, their newest concept and sister store to love, Pittsburgh.
