Industry Day is open to all College of Creative Arts and Media students at all levels (undergraduate and graduate). Pre-registration via Handshake is ONLY required for the networking lunch, but it is encouraged for other events. Sign-ups for one-on-one sessions with industry professionals will be available at check-in.

Students should come prepared with a polished resume or CV, portfolio or examples of creative work (digital or physical) and questions for industry professionals. Career-appropriate attire is recommended.

  1. 8:30-9am

    Industry Professional Check-In

    Check in at the Blaney Lobby of the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center. Grab-and-go breakfast items will be available.

  2. 9-9:30am

    Student Check-In

    Check in at the Blaney Lobby of the WVU Canady Creative Arts CenterAt check-in, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a one-on-one session with an industry professional.

  3. 9:30-10:30AM

    First Panel Discussions

    • Cultivating Professional Relationships in the Creative Arts and Media Industries: Discover the importance of networking and building relationships in this ever-evolving field.
    • Navigating Diverse Career Pathways within Creative Arts and Media: Explore the various career paths available and how to navigate your journey successfully.
