The WVU Funk and Soul Ensemble is a dynamic new addition to the WVU School of Music, debuting in its inaugural year. Under the direction of Professor Joshua Swiger, the ensemble showcases a wide range of funk and soul music, from classic hits to contemporary sounds. This exciting group provides students with an opportunity to explore the rich traditions and evolution of these influential genres, while fostering a deep appreciation for rhythm, groove, and improvisation. With its vibrant energy and diverse repertoire, the WVU Funk and Soul Ensemble is quickly becoming a standout within the WVU music community.
