Al Moffatt brings a distinguished career as a C-suite branding, marketing, and advertising executive to his teaching credentials at WVU. Moffatt is currently a branding, marketing and entrepreneur consultant focusing on mid-market companies and startups.

Prior to forming Moffatt Advisory, Moffatt was CEO of the world’s largest network of  independent ad agencies (Worldwide Partners), founder/president of his own ad agency, Moffatt/Rosenthal (“One of the best small agencies in the country” – Ad Age), and senior vice president at The Tombras Group - Ad Age Agency of the Year. Moffatt’s formative years were spent at some of the largest ad agencies in the world, including TBWA\Chiat\Day, and Grey Advertising.

Moffatt has vast management and hands-on experience in integrated marketing communications, handling all facets of digital and traditional marketing, advertising, and branding for over 130 companies in over 50 industries, including 3M, Bank of America, Intel, U.S. Bank, Rockwell International, Xerox, Samuel Adams beer, The US National Beef Industry Council, Avia Athletic Footwear, ConAgra Foods, Bausch & Lomb, the Portland Trailblazers, NatureMade, Dixie, Kraft, Revo, Magic:The Gathering, The Old Spaghetti Factory, BlueShield, National Retail Federation, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Oregon Lottery, and AT&T - to name a few.

Moffatt is an avid cyclist, bluegrass musician, and has even had his 15-minutes of fame as a stand-up comedian. His personal brand? “Helping others succeed”, which makes him a perfect fit for helping WVU students achieve their own goals.
