Anjelica Trinone joined the college’s faculty as a Sports and Adventure Media instructor in August of 2024. She came to the college with a decade of professional experience as an on-air sports anchor/reporter in West Virginia, spending the past eight years at Gold and Blue Nation.

Along with anchoring daily reports that aired on Nexstar stations across West Virginia, Anjelica was a co-host for The Neal Brown Show, The WVU Coaches Show and various other specialty programs throughout the year. As Gold and Blue Nation’s Mountaineer Football Insider, she traveled with the team and served as the on-field reporter for a two-hour live pregame show, Mountaineer GameDay. During basketball season, she also co-hosted Mountaineer GameDay. She also is sideline reporter for ESPN+ broadcasts. In 2021, Anjelica hosted the WVBA Excellence in Broadcasting Awards.

Before beginning her career as a sports anchor/reporter, Anjelica attended West Virginia University and graduated from the P.I Reed School of Journalism, now the College of Creative Arts and Media, in December of 2013 with a Broadcast Journalism degree and minor in Sports Communication. She interned at WBOY before joining the staff as Sports Anchor in 2014 and became the Sports Director a short time after. During her time at WVU, she was the main anchor for WVU News, an award-winning newscast, in the fall of 2012.

Anjelica taught Broadcast Journalism 101 and Intro to Editing for two semesters at Doddridge Co. High School.
