Anna Campbell
Anna Campbell is poised to ignite transformation as an adjunct instructor for the College of Creative Arts and Media at West Virginia University. With an unwavering commitment to lifelong learning, Campbell embodies a relentless pursuit of academic excellence.
Drawing from three decades of experience as a catalyst for change, Campbell's expertise spans diverse domains, including marketing, sales, philanthropy and development, communications, media relations, event execution, and partnership collaboration. Her distinguished career, marked by leadership roles in entertainment and convention venues, financial institutions, and nonprofits, underscores her exceptional capacity to drive tangible results.
Noteworthy among her achievements is her tenure as the director of sales and marketing for the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, where she orchestrated communication efforts for over 3,600 annual events that attracted more than a million attendees. Campbell managed and promoted 16 annual in-house events, including the West Virginia Sports Show and the Charleston Wedding Expo. Her creative flair and "full-service agency" approach optimized branding and created value-added deliverables for the arena and convention center.
Campbell's innovative spirit showed brightly as the philanthropy & development director for the Girl Scouts of Black Diamond. She conceptualized and executed the organization's first public-facing event with the groundbreaking FestivALL Charleston Kaleidoscope Art event, uniting six notable West Virginia artisans with girls across West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, and Maryland, culminating in a captivating and profitable art exhibit and silent auction.
Campbell's global impact resonates through her dedication as an English teaching ambassador to China, where she orchestrated transformative educational experiences, fostering cultural exchange and academic enrichment. At Second Senior High School in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, China, Campbell skillfully engaged with a cohort of 60 students, infusing English language instruction with the vibrant tapestry of American culture. Showing love for her home state, Campbell taught students "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and guided them in writing the lyrics in Mandarin and English.
Campbell is a proud, lifelong West Virginian and a 25-year resident of Elkview, WV. She is the proud parent of Lauren, a music industry graduate of the University of Southern California, and John, a current physician assistant student at WVU.
Campbell received a Master of Arts in Teaching specializing in Marketing and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Marshall University.
