Brenda Hamilton
Brenda*Sylvester Hamilton was born in Mt. Lebanon, a suburb in the western hills of Pennsylvania. Her mother named her daughter after the 1940’s comic strip character, Brenda Starr, Reporter. Her father’s career moved the family across the mountains to the city of Charleston, WV. As a kid, Brenda loved to mix her crayons together to create unique dimensions of color. Childhood ballet lessons taught her discipline, determination, and creativity. She earned her BFA in Visual Arts from the College of Creative Arts in 2003 at West Virginia University. After graduation, Brenda was hired by WVU. She worked 16 years delivering secure, technology-enabled testing at Prometric. Her soul’s desire to express oneself through the creative arts, is always alive in her mind. In February of 2020, Brenda walked back into the WVU College of Creative Arts as an Administrative Associate for the School of Theatre & Dance. Today, Brenda shares her artistic knowledge and creative skills with others, as they as well, journey through life on their own pathways of happiness.
