Christopher Castera

Christopher Caserta is the president of FastMD Medical Group, overseeing Florida Advanced Spine & Trauma Centers and Elite Women’s GYN in Tampa Bay.  He manages strategic growth, operations, financials, and market expansion, as well as leading a management services organization that acquires medical practices nationwide.  Previously, he served as the chief executive officer of Ascension Living, a senior living provider operating in 11 states and Washington, D.C.

He teaches Audience Insight for the Integrated Marketing Communications graduate program at the West Virginia University College of Creative Arts and Media.

Caserta is a healthcare services veteran with over 20 years of experience in regional and national health systems and post-acute care organizations. He served as the vice president of strategy and marketing in the continuing care division at Trinity Health. In that role, he led the division’s national strategy for independent living and assisted living senior housing communities, which included low-income and market-rate apartments, luxury homes, and villas. Caserta also played a key role in driving growth and operational efficiencies for Trinity Health’s skilled nursing facilities and memory support communities.

He has a wealth of experience in executive roles within regional post-acute care organizations and health systems before joining Trinity Health. He possesses a deep understanding of the strategic and operational aspects of Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and has overseen various HCBS operations, including home health, hospice, palliative care, private duty, and durable medical equipment.

Caserta has been instrumental in developing new post-acute care and senior living programs and services, such as PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), value-based risk models, and other in-home services. Additionally, he has served as a national post-acute care leader for innovative healthcare models, including Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN), Alternative Payment Models (APM), Integrated Care Coordination Systems (ICCS), and Independent Physician Associations (IPA).

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Biomedical Science with a minor in psychology from Ohio University and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, where he was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.
