Naijun Zhang
Naijun Zhang received his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from West Virginia University and his Bachelor of Fine Arts in oil painting from the Nanjing Arts Institute in his homeland of China. He has had solo exhibitions at OK Harris Works of Art in New York and Michael Berger Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA. He has been included in numerous group exhibitions both in the United States and China, notably at First Street Gallery in New York, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts in Tallahassee, FL, Highlands Museum of the Arts in Sebring, FL, Huntington Museum of Art in Huntington, WV, LaGrange Art Museum in LaGrange, GA, The Cultural Center in Charleston, WV, and the Shanghai Exhibition Center and Jiangsu Provincial Museum of Art in Nanjing, China. Recently he was selected as one of the National Juried Competition finalists at First Street Gallery, New York by Juror Gregory Amenoff, Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Columbia University. Professor Zhang is founder and lead faculty member for the School of Art and Design’s summer painting study abroad program in China.
