Stephanie Lorenze
Dr. Stephanie Lorenze has worked in the field of education in West Virginia for over twenty years; eight of which were spent as a public high school teacher of dance education, mathematics, and Spanish. She played a leadership role in her school, holding positions on the Faculty Senate, Strategic Planning Committee, and GoGlobal Team. She has designed dance education curriculum and facilitated professional development for the West Virginia Department of Education and has served as a writer and reviewer of dance education standards at the state and national levels. Dr. Lorenze most recently served WVU for twelve years as a Service Associate Professor in the School of Education where she was the Director for Teacher Education and taught professional education courses for pre-service teachers, including a course on Dance and Creative Movement in PK-12 Schools. In the WVU School of Theatre and Dance, she has taught Introduction to Dance, Dance History, Dance Criticism, and Intermediate Tap.
