Stephanie Miclot
Dr. Stephanie Miclot has more than 20 years of professional and academic experience
working in integrated marketing communications, specifically, social media, online,
print, broadcast, corporate and literary journalism, public relations, investor
relations, advertising, and circulation, product, customer and pharmaceutical marketing.
As a practitioner-educator, she has worked for several public and private companies, including Pearson Publishing, Advantage Sales and Marketing, Freedom Communications, Inc., Allergan, Experian (formerly TRW), Ernst & Young and Toshiba America, Inc., along with several daily and community newspapers including The Fresno Bee and The Pensacola News Journal.
In addition, Miclot has more than 20 years of teaching experience as business and marketing professor, an adjunct instructor and associate professor of communications and marketing. She has also served as an organizational communication corporate trainer, communications consultant, community college journalism advisor, and a collegiate journalism judge.
Miclot holds a doctorate in Emerging Media, an MFA in Creative Writing, an MBA and bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications from the University of West Florida, an MBA in Marketing and MFA in Creative Writing from National University.
Professional Experience
Professional: More than 20 years of experience in new media corporate communications, consumer packaged goods marketing communications, pharmaceutical marketing, newspaper, circulation and media marketing, literary journalism, public relations, advertising and executive organizational communication. Responsible for directing, implementing and managing corporate marketing programs for several Fortune 500, public and private companies. Served in the following capacities of editor, manager, account executive, director and vice president.
Teaching: More than 20 years of teaching as business professor, an adjunct professor and instructional design. Subjects experienced in and credentialed to teach include various business, marketing, business statistics, composition, research and intercultural/international communications courses in traditional, hybrid, and online classrooms.
