Sun Jung Lee
Dr. Sun Jung Lee, from Seoul, Korea, graduated from the Sunwha Arts School then continued her studies in the United States at the Music Institute of Chicago, Winnetka, IL. Dr. Lee earned the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory, where she was the recipient of a Dean’s Talent Award. She was a recipient of Hirsh Memorial Scholarship from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, where she pursued course work toward the Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano. At West Virginia University, Dr. Lee served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Piano and Opera accompanying. She holds her degrees in Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from West Virginia University. A winner of the 2007 Young Artist Competition at West Virginia University, she has performed in numerous solo and chamber music concerts in New York, Los Angeles, Ohio, Texas, Washington, West Virginia, and South Korea. She was an adjunct faculty in Piano at Bethany College from 2009 to 2013 and at West Virginia University from 2014 to 2015. She currently holds a position as a staff accompanist for faculty and guest artist recitals at West Virginia University.
