Todd Gantzler is a 2D and 3D artist and animator, game designer, educator, course developer, and author with more than 30 years of experience in computer graphics and animation for both film and games.

Gantzler has taught and developed courses for institutions of higher learning in North America, Europe, and Oceania, including San Francisco State University, Art Institute of California, Academy of Art College, and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as West Virginia University. Subjects include art, design, animation, version control, and project management. He has been developing and teaching courses in game development since 2000. Online education is one of his primary interests.

Gantzler is the author of the textbook Video Game Art, the premiere title in the Game Development Essentials series from Delmar Cengage Learning.

His film credits include The Pagemaster. Game credits include Star Wars: Rebel Assault II, Gex 3D, Cyberia, and Akuji the Heartless, with credits for 2D and 3D art, as well as character animation and game design. He has worked with Lucas Arts, Electronic Arts, and Capcom, among other game

developers. He is currently working on an online multiplayer FPS with a small group of veteran game developers.

Gantzler earned a BFA in Computer Arts (cum laude) and an MA in Art Education / Computer Graphics (magna cum laude) from The Ohio State University. He is based in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
