Virginia Affemann
Virginia Affemann began their time at the Art Museum of WVU in 2023 as a student worker and became interested in educational outreach as they became more involved in programs at the Museum. They worked as a laboratory and curatorial technician at Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex and curated an exhibit about the material culture of women and children at the historic Spruce Paper Mill site in Pocahontas County, WV. After receiving a BA in anthropology from WVU, Virginia took a role as a program assistant helping with tours and events, and they are now the DeLynn program coordinator for education and outreach at the Art Museum.
