Virginia Affemann

Virginia Affemann began their time at the Art Museum of WVU in 2023 as a student worker and became interested in educational outreach as they became more involved in programs at the Museum. They worked as a laboratory and curatorial technician at Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex and curated an exhibit about the material culture of women and children at the historic Spruce Paper Mill site in Pocahontas County, WV. After receiving a BA in anthropology from WVU, they took their current role as a program assistant in which they help develop and organize tours, public events, and educational programming for a variety of ages and audiences.
