Thank you for your interest in the WVU School of Theatre & Dance 2025 Summer Acting Academy. After a few years away, we are thrilled to reintroduce this immersive week of actor training with a refreshed vision and renewed energy.
Our program is thoughtfully crafted to cater to emerging actors and theatre makers in both our Youth (ages 12–18) and Kids (ages 8–11) Academies. Throughout the week, you will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of classes and workshops—from actor’s movement and accent coaching to musical theatre, film scenes, improvisation, and much more. Our experienced faculty, including members of the WVU Theatre & Dance Program, are dedicated to nurturing your confidence, skills, and creativity, helping you shine both on stage and on screen.

For ages 12 – 18, this dynamic 6-day program offers a blend of acting technique, on-camera work, voice and accent, musical theatre, movement and more. Classes will be divided into focused sessions and rehearsals in a Conservatoire-like intensive training.
For ages 8 – 11, this 6-day program features a series of engaging classes and workshops that include acting technique, voice and accent training, musical theatre, improvisation and more, with a special introduction to film work.
