
Juliana Yap
Dr. Juliana Yap is an accomplished pianist, educator, and adjudicator. Holding two Doctorate degrees in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano from West Virginia University, she is the founder of Morgantown Piano Academy, one of the largest piano studios in Morgantown. A former adjunct professor at Washington & Jefferson College, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, Steinway-Haus Munich, and international festivals as both a soloist and collaborative artist. Juliana has had the privilege of performing for students in masterclasses with renowned artists like Noah Bendix-Balgley, the Amernet String Quartet, and Midori. She has received the Presidential Award, Creative Arts Center Award, Canady Scholarship Award, and a WVU Dissertation Fellowship Award. She also serves as a judge for the Singapore International Piano Competition and MTNA competitions. A highly regarded educator, competition juror, and chamber music specialist, Juliana is dedicated to mentoring rising talents and shaping the next generation of pianists.
