The Summit Bechtel Reserve is looking for a motivated Individual that is looking for an opportunity to learn, hone their skills and build their portfolio of work while serving as an intern with the in-house media and marketing team. This is a great opportunity for work for a nationally recognized non-profit organization with over 100 years of history. The Summit serves a variety of guests including providing Scouting programs to over 5,000 Scouting participants this summer as well as hosting corporate retreats, weddings and other unique events.
The intern will have the opportunity to work on projects with different intended audiences across a variety of mediums including social media, digital and print media. Interns should expect to work about 40 hours a week and will be provided room and board in addition to a bi-weekly seasonal salary.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively Developing and executing weekly marketing strategy and content calendars for the Summit.
- Creation and Management of Content and Digital Assets for use by the Summit's marketing/media team and partnering agencies.
- Use and management of relevant equipment and software.
- Managing digital assets including photo, video and graphic files
- Inventory, manage, and care for any equipment issued by the Summit Bechtel Reserve
- Creation of assets to be used by Media and Marketing Team with agreed upon deadlines
- Any other duties as assigned by full-time staff and/or direct supervisor
Qualifications
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in fields such as Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related area.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with content creation and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Attention to detail and great interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging content for various digital platforms.
- Graphic design skills and an eye for visual aesthetics.
- Interns must be or become a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America during the period of employment.

Note: Interns may also be asked to help provide event support as needed throughout their time with the Summit Bechtel Reserve. This may include interfacing with additional media or marketing teams and outside groups or agencies.
