Design Portfolio

Design is about solving problems. Your portfolio should prove it.

Core Idea: Design portfolios should highlight process, problem-solving, and impact, Not just visuals.

Key Practices:

Strong design portfolios focus on how you think, not just what you produce. Case studies can help tell a clear story of decision-making and design process.

Explain:

  • Context / problem
  • Goals
  • Process (research, ideation, iteration)
  • Final solution
  • Results or impact

Include:

  • 3-5 strong projects (curated, not exhaustive)
  • Clear navigation and structure
  • Your role and contributions
  • Measurable outcomes when possible

Ask yourself:

  • What problem were you solving?
  • Why did you make specific decisions?
  • What impact did your design have?
