These courses fulfill ART/ARHS electives for WVU School of Art and Design ART majors. It fulfills IV: Museum Professions for ARHS majors. It is also part of the School’s Global Positioning Studies (GPS) Initiative. For most other WVU students it fulfills open electives—consult with your advisor. Students currently external to WVU doing summer matriculation should meet with their advisor concerning where the transfer credits fit into their program of study.
Cost
TBD for 2027. Precise costs have not yet been determined. Based on previous years, expected cost are about $6500 (6 credit hours)
Cost Includes: Course and credit hour costs; housing (shared apartments with kitchen and access to laundry facilities); health insurance.
Cost does not include airfare, travel fees or food (a welcome and goodbye dinner are included). The cost of living in Amelia is especially reasonable for Italy.
School of Art and Design students are eligible to apply for a GPS Award to help fund the course.
