Early voting to begin at Museum Education Center

Art Museum of WVU

                                                                 Art Museum of WVU

Beginning October 23, any voter registered in Monongalia County can cast their ballot for the 2024 general election at the WVU Art Museum’s Museum Education Center, located at 20 Fine Arts Drive on the Evansdale Campus.

The polling station will be adjacent to the “Our Votes, Our Values” exhibition, which helps visitors determine how their values impact their voting decisions and presents a look into many current issues. On Saturdays throughout early voting, visitors can stop by the exhibit to create a custom “Vote” button and receive a free Art Museum of WVU pencil.

Attendees can cast their ballots in the Museum Education Center’s Grand Hall Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until November 2. Voters must present a valid form of identification before casting their ballot, such as a driver’s license or voter registration card.

Early voting offers more flexibility for voters who cannot make it to their polling location on Election Day. West Virginia voters can vote at any polling location in their registered county during early voting. You can view a complete list of West Virginia early voting locations here.

Extended hours and activities connected to early voting are part of the museum’s Access for All grant partnership with the Art Bridges Foundation.
