The WVU School of Music invites the community to “An Evening with Tim O'Brien” at the Gladys G. Davis Theatre in the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center on April 1 at 7:30 p.m.

In December 2025, the old floor-to-ceiling mural by Nina Chanel Abney that graced the wall in the Plevins Lobby of the Art Museum of WVU came down, and in January 2026, a new mural went up. Emilio Perez’s “Through the Valley” covers the enormous wall with graphic, colorful mountains and soft, swirling clouds.

This February, WVU’s ASTA chapter saw its hard work pay off when it received “Most Improved Student Chapter” at the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the American String Teachers Association Collocated Conferences in San Francisco.

WVU School of Art and Design Associate Director and Professor of Printmaking Joseph Lupo’s exhibition “Chronic Uncertainty” is on display in the Annex Gallery at the Concept Art Gallery in Pittsburgh now through April 4.

For the last 10 years, the MIC has fostered an environment where creative thinkers tackle the big questions and consider the story forms, distribution mechanisms, economic models, user behaviors and policy implications for media in a future ecosystem. International sensation “Riverdance 30 – The New Generation” comes to the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. This special 30th anniversary “Riverdance” tour features a “new generation” of performers all younger than the iconic show itself.

The WVU School of Theatre and Dance will perform “Sueño,” a tale of fate and free will, March 5-7 and March 10-13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre at the Canady Creative Arts Center. “Sueño” is Jose Rivera’s adaptation of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s 1630s play “La vida es sueño” (“Life is a dream”), blending romance and tragedy, drama and comedy, introspection and action.

The WVU School of Art & Design’s Digital Art and Animation program will host the 2026 West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival (WVMSFF) from Thursday, March 5, to Sunday, March 8, at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center. The festival presents cutting-edge short films, animations and digital media artworks by WVU students, regional filmmakers and artists from around the world.
