Join us for a dynamic week-long brass camp designed to inspire and challenge young brass musicians. Through daily group warm-up sessions, interactive masterclasses, focused topic workshops, and a variety of ensemble experiences—both large and small—participants will strengthen their technical skills, deepen their musical interpretation, and explore a wide range of genres and styles.
The West Virginia University Summer Brass Academy will be held June 8-12, 2026. This five-day immersive experience is led by the esteemed West Virginia University Brass Faculty and is open to all brass musicians graduating grades 8-12 (with a recommended 3 years of playing experience).
The Summer Brass Academy offers daily instrument specific warm-up sessions, interactive masterclasses, focused topic workshops, and a variety of brass chamber ensemble experiences designed to strengthen participants technical skills, deepen their musical interpretation, and explore diverse genres and styles.

Housing and Meals Info
- Students may choose either single or double occupancy housing. Single occupancy ($78 per night) provides a private room, while double occupancy ($45 per night) places two students in a shared room.
- Housing will be in a WVU Dormitory (Monday-Thursday nights) and all meals at Café Evansdale on the WVU campus (Monday-Friday). Meals are “all you can eat” cafeteria-style services with a salad bar, self-serve beverage, and dessert bars.
- The housing fee provides sheets, a blanket, pillow, two bath towels, one washcloth, shampoo, soap, and drinking glasses for students. Rooms are serviced daily, Monday through Friday.
- A parking pass can be purchased only for those staying in the dorms for an additional $10.

Camp Check-in Schedule on Monday, 6/8/26
To accommodate traveling attendees, the schedule on Monday, June 8th will be slightly adjusted. Check-in will take place from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m., with the first activity starting at 10:00 a.m.
Camp Check-out Schedule on Friday, 6/12/26
The camp will conclude on Friday, June 12th with a performance at 4:00 pm in CLAY Theatre. Parents and guardians are to pick up participants at 5:00 pm in the Canady Creative Arts Center lobby or Clay Theatre (1 Fine Arts Dr, Morgantown, WV 26506). Additional information will be sent directly to camp participants on Wednesday, June 3rd.
