Brass and Woodwind Maintenance and Repair Workshop

June 9 - 13, 2025 at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center

This week-long, hands-on workshop is designed for Band Directors and Music Teachers who want to develop valuable skills in using preventive maintenance, diagnosing common repair issues and make time and money saving repairs on brass and woodwind instruments.

Enroll by June 1, limited to 10 participants.

Cost

  • Workshop: $600 (includes parking pass for the week)
    Participants will be responsible for their accommodation and meals.
  • Band Director Tool Kit: $1100 (required for participation in the workshop)
    This “Essentials” Tool Kit for band directors includes metal tool box and a selection of high quality, professional repair tools and supplies for band instrument repair used in this workshop. Purchase from www.the-instrument-lab.com

Participants will need to bring a flute, clarinet, bass clarinet (optional),saxophone, trumpet, trombone (tenor with F attachment if available), baritone horn (or euphonium) to work on in the workshop.

Complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water will be available throughout the workshop for participants.

Professional Development Credits
