Brass Ensemble

This ensemble explores repertoire that is performed by traditional British brass bands, brass chamber selections, popular music, and contemporary music.

Community Saxophone Ensemble

Students will meet weekly and perform in either a saxophone quartet, quintet, or octet and rehearse preparing for 2 performances including one at the Finale Concert for WVU’s Saxophone Day alongside the WVU Saxophone Ensemble.

Community Steel Drum

This class and ensemble focuses on the music and culture of Trinidad through the playing of steel pan.

Harp on It!

This class is open to all age groups, with a limit of 2 students per class, and catered to student needs and scheduling. No musical background is necessary. Students will study hand position and simple tunes.

My First Musical Steps

My First Musical Steps is an early childhood music class suitable for little ones between the ages of 3-5 years old. This class for preschool students and their guardians to participate and explore community music making.

Piano for Fun for Adults

Piano for Fun designed for adult students who are interested in playing the piano for their own enjoyment. Lessons are taught in a group setting, enabling students to experience the fun and incentive of learning together with others.

Piano for Tiny Musicians

Two separate sessions for ages 4-6 and 7-9, this group class is meant to introduce tiny pianists to the art of playing the piano, in a fun and engaging environment for kids that are just now beginning to learn music.

Woodwind Chamber Music

Students who play flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon and their auxiliary instruments, will enhance their individual and ensemble performance skills and watch their connection to music become stronger through the repertoire preparation process.
