Piano for Tiny Musicians

For Ages 4 through 9

Piano for Tiny Musicians is a group class for children ages 4-6. This fun and interactive class introduces students to the art of playing the piano through engaging lessons, rhythm games, composition activities, and ensemble playing. Students learn keyboard geography, as well as basic rhythm and notational reading.

This class provides the stimulation of a group environment with the individual attention of private instruction. Piano for Tiny Musicians takes place in WVU's state-of-the-arts piano lab. No previous music experience is required.

Learning Objectives

  • introduction to the keyboard
  • introduction to basic rhythm
  • ability to find notes on keyboard and recognition
  • beginning finger independence

REMINDER: A class is usually cancelled when registration is less than five (5) participants. In case of cancellation of the class, all students already enrolled will be notified immediately. Submit your registration form as soon as possible to ensure your spot. We will reach out to you to process payment closer to the first day of the group class.
