The West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance will feature three mainstage productions this fall, starting with the touching story of a social worker managing a child neglect case.

Celebrating its 65th anniversary, the world’s most influential name in comedy, The Second City, is coming to the West Virginia University College of Creative Arts and Media (CCAM) October 1 at 7:30 p.m. with their new show, “Laugh Harder, Not Smarter.”

The West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance will host the Summer Acting Academy, June 23-28 at the Canady Creative Arts Center, providing an opportunity for young students to explore their theatre passions in a supportive setting with help from WVU Theatre instructors and students.

A murder mystery arrives in Morgantown with “The Rimers of Eldritch,” premiering February 27 in the Gladys G. Davis Theatre at the West Virginia University Canady Creative Arts Center.

“Dance Now!,” the annual dance concert presented by the West Virginia University (WVU) School of Theatre and Dance, will be performed January 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. and February 1 at 2 p.m. in the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the Canady Creative Arts Center (CCAC).

Trace Swisher, a senior dual major in theatre design tech and advertising and public relations at the WVU College of Creative Arts and Media, recently completed a semester-long project honoring women in horror movies.
