The WVU College of Creative Arts and Media celebrated the graduation of more than 400 students from the schools of Art and Design, Music, Theatre and Dance and the Reed School of Media and Communications on May 16.

A new course for Sports and Adventure Media (SAM) students in the WVU Reed School of Media and Communications puts them on the sidelines and in the control room to produce a live sports broadcast from start to finish.

The WVU Reed School of Media and Communications recently redesigned and relaunched its online Master of Science in Digital Marketing Communications program with a streamlined curriculum that addresses the latest shifts in the industry, including the pervasiveness of artificial intelligence.

Fourteen WVU Reed School of Media and Communications students received awards for their work on over a dozen projects at the 2026 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts. Based on students’ achievements in the BEA Festival over the last five years, WVU achieved notable rankings in several BEA program categories.
