The mission of the WVU Preservice Student Chapter of the National Art Education Association is to promote art education through professional development, service, advancement of knowledge, and leadership. In order to fulfill this mission, the national association provides expertise, training, and resources that support professional growth and leadership, helping to affect the quality of student learning in their local schools, communities, and states.
The preservice student chapter of NAEA is a student organization that contributes resources to students who wish to become art educators and are interested in all aspects of art education. Supported by both of the national organization and the state West Virginia art education association, participants meet monthly to create art projects, engage in fundraisers and social activities, and attend state and national conferences to meet other members from other schools.
