School of Art and Design

BFA Art and Design Portfolio Requirements

In the School of Art and Design, only BFA Art and Design and BFA Art Education applicants are required to submit a portfolio for review.

School of Music

Bassoon Audition Requirements

School of Music bassoon applicants are encouraged to audition with scales and two contrasting works.

Cello Audition Requirements

School of Music cello applicants are encouraged to prepare with an etude, two contrasting works and scales.

Clarinet Audition Requirements

School of Music clarinet applicants are encouraged to audition with scales and two contrasting works.

Composition Audition Requirements

School of Music composition applicants are encouraged to provide recordings of two to three written pieces with contrast in instrumentation.

Double Bass Audition Requirements

School of Music students interested in a major or minor in Jazz Studies or Jazz Performance will demonstrate their ability on their instrument based on specific requirements.

Flute Audition Requirements

School of Music flute applicants are encouraged to audition with scales and two contrasting works.

School of Music tuba applicants have a variety of requirements based on their degree program.

Viola Audition Requirements

School of Music violin applicants are encouraged to audition with an etude, two contrasting works, and scales.

Voice Audition Requirements

School of Music voice applicants should be prepared to present a minimum of three songs sung from memory with accompaniment.

BFA Acting Audition Requirements

School of Theatre & Dance BFA Acting applicants are required to present two contrasting monologues.

BA Dance Audition Requirements

School of Theatre & Dance BA Dance applicants must participate in an interview on their audition date and should submit two audition videos.

BFA Musical Theatre Audition Requirements

The School of Theatre & Dance does not require a prescreen submission for BFA Musical Theatre applicants - requirements are for video auditions only.

BFA Theatre Design and Technology Portfolio Requirements

An interview and portfolio review is required for admission consideration for all incoming School of Theatre & Dance BFA Design & Technology students.
